Jan Smigmator is a Czech jazz and swing singer who embodies the legacy of swing performers such as Frank Sinatra, Karel Hála, or Tony Bennett, whom Jan considers his greatest vocal role model, on the 21st-century music scene. His voice, style, phrasing, and love for jazz and swing now rank him among the leading performers of this genre in Europe. At the end of April 2023, he performed his solo concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, where he was accompanied by Czech colleagues and top American jazz scene members, members of the backing band of the aforementioned Tony Bennett. At the concert in Sušice, Jan Smigmator will perform accompanied by his band and will sing both songs from the Great American Songbook and original songs. Visitors can look forward to Moon River, Feeling Good, the Days of Wine and Roses, New York State of Mind, or My Way with Jan's lyrics 'Za svým snem jít' (Following Your Dream).
